The 501st Anniversary of
The
Patriarchate of the West-Indies

This May 11th, 2021 Marks The 501st Anniversary of Our Church!!
At the request of King Ferdinand 'The Catholic', king of Spain and the West Indies, the Patriarchate of the West-Indies was reluctantly created in the year 1524 AD by the decree of Pope Clement VII of Rome, the Patriarch of the West. After years of reluctance of the Vatican, the Patriarchate of the West-Indies was created. Pope Clement VII consecrated His Excellency Antonio de Rojas Manrique, the Archbishop of Granada, Spain, to be the 1st Patriarch of the West-Indies
Patriarch Antonio de Rojas Manrique, the 1st Patriarch of the West Indies served from May 24, 1524 - June 27, 1527
